Default CME question

hey guys, i have an 02 ss with the CME and would like to replace the stock muffler, what do u guys think?

I think you should only do it if you want more sound. If you expect to gain any power, you won't. The SLP muffler used for that system is one of the best flowing out there, but it's also one of the most quiet.

Check out the gmmg cat back. Do a search for cme + gmmg and you will see some nice setups.

Its expensive but worth it imo.

yeah, sorry i should of mention i just want more of a sound, i mean i love the CME, but it is pretty quiet, even with LTs, but thanks for the info

Honestly I would just put a cut out on it. It's cheap, can be capped to be quiet if need be and when it's open sounds great and gives you more power. Plus you don't have to mess with un-hooking your whole exhaust system.

keep the muffler, put longtubes and ORY on the car and you will see gains in power and sound
