Default LS1 & Internet Acronyms - Defined

One of the most confusing things for new LS1 owners is all of the acronyms that fly around the net to describe parts, upgrades, etc... Lets compose a list of acronyms that are commonly seen that might help the newer (and some of the older!) members out.

Examples:

MAF = Mass AirFlow sensor (measures amount of air entering intake)
EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation (emissions system)
TBODY = Throttle Body
PCV = Positive Crankcase Ventilation
M6 = 6-speed transmission
T56 = actual part name for the M6 transmission
A4 = 4-speed automatic
4L60E = actual part name for the A4 transmission
HPP3 = Hypertech Power Programmer 3
PCM = your vehicles computer control unit
ASR = Camaro version of traction control
TCS = Firebird version of traction control
LQ4 = iron block, LS1-based 6.0L truck engine

If you have some more, feel free to ask!

Tony
