nonadhesive electrical tape - quick q
on my 72 firebird i found out that my alternator battery output wire was frayed to ****. it was under a lot of black tape that was nonadhesive. i think that tape came from the factory and i think it's called "loom tape."
i found some tape from oreillys that is black nonadhesive electrical tape, but it's not called loom tape. i'm paranoid about these wires getting hot; would someone mind taking a second to tell me if the tape i got is pretty much the same stuff as the factory tape or not? i'm new to electrical stuff.
the wires were sitting in a black wire loom in between the intake man. and the driver side valve cover.
thanks for any help/advice!
