Default "Smallblock" parts on LSx engines

Dear all,

I am new to the LSx scene, but I am researching the possibilities of making a super responsive LS1 engine out of some bolt on mods.

Will the following parts bolt on to an otherwise stock -00 LS1 with a GTO transmission?

All answers appreciated.

The short answer is NO, but with all of the great sponsors on the right you can get headers, flywheels, and clutches made specifically for the LS1 that will really wake it up!

Ok, thanks for the fast replies.

Can somebody point me in the direction of a super lightweight flywheel/clutch-combo? 400hp/ft-lbs maximum. Needs to withstand some slipping (drift use), so I am thinking along the lines of some kind of cerametallic clutch.

Which flywheel is the correct one of these two (Camaro -00 LS1, Borg Warner T56):

Chevy LS1/LS6 153T OE Dia Flywheel
CLUTCH: 7.25" Metallic/Cerametallic/Carbon - 8.6 lbs TIL51-026

Chevy LS1/LS6 168T OE Dia Flywheel
CLUTCH: 7.25" Metallic/Cerametallic/Carbon - 8.6 lbs TIL51-4452

153 teeth or 168 teeth?

Go with the LS7 clutch package then. Comes with flywheel. Some sponsors also include ARP bolts, alignment tool, etc.

I know Quartermaster makes LS1 button clutch flywheels. ASA cars use to run the LS1 before they went under a few years ago. I think Tilton may make something also.

So then just dont use the flywheel in the kit, or buy the disc and PP and not the flywheel.
