lowering a camaro
hey guys.. i got a 98 ls1 camaro with c6 vette rims on it.. how big of a drop do you think i could go with out rubbing it and what kind.. i dont want that big of one.. just enough to reduce the fender gap..

how wide are the rims/tires?
you should be fine with a 1-1.5" drop like most springs....strano or prokit.
BMR says thier's is only 1"
other choice would be just to spend the money on GOOD shocks...Koni SA. use the lower perch in the front for a 3/4" drop, and the hose mod in the back for a similar drop.

1.5ish" is about where you should go, without seeing the wheel/tire combo, its hard to say though.
keep in mind that there is always the option of "massaging" the inner fender well, wich is what most lowered guys with wide wheels have to do anyway
