Default 95 LT1, 01 LS1 or both???

Ok guys, I need some outside opinions here. I am getting ready to pay off my 95 Z-28. I was looking for a truck or something for a daily driver to save wear and tear on the Z. I just came across a place that has several 00-02 Z-28 and two 02 SS's. Now my problem is that I'm starting to think about about getting another Z-28 or SS instead of something more "practicle".
The prob is that it snows pretty heavily here at times in the winter and I just sold my winter beater....I'm not getting rid of the 95 (after all it'll be paid off and I've spent a decent amount moding it...some for performance but tons on the interior)so I'll have to buy another winter beater..which will leave me with no $$$$ for mods on the new car.

What are your thoughts...

btw, thanks for reading my "book"!!

Go to an auction, get a beater for $500 or I'll sell you my 1990 S-15 Jimmy 4x4. It just needs all the wiring and stuff connected to the motor, I swapped them out but I'm working in McMinnville now and it's at my parents house so I haven't had time to finish it. It's yours for $900.
