Default Which exhaust would you recommend me?

I recently got my trans am and already started modding it. SLP Lid is on the way... Exhaust is next, and after that Gears...

I am looking for an exhaust with the meanest sound and best power delivery, my inexpensive choices are:

Magnaflow Cat Back Exhaust- $455

Random Technology Powermax- $400

Flowmaster American Thunder- $350

SLP Loudmouth (or loudmouth II) - $390

Which one would you recommend me??? I am planning to order it in the next few days

Thanx everyone

magnaflow hands down, i have it on my car and its bitchin. SLPs sound raspy when adding bolt ons or cam, i dont know about random technology???? it also depends on what you have in the future for your car (heads, cam, headers, ect.) i had a slowmaster on my car before and it sounded just OK. i hope this helps, also check out www.ls1sounds.com.

I researched all those and ended up going with Corsa it has straight flow through at WOT, the muffler is polished and the tips are awsome.

another vote for magnaflow, its quiet enough just cruising around to not attract attention but sounds damn good wide open.

I mostly shop in ws6 store and too personally never heard of the powermax exhaust but here is a link check it out:

And i have already gone to ls1 sounds (kinda helps but some people have other mods like cams, pipes etc...). But yeah i did consider magnaflow before, as well as hooker
Thanx!

as far as flow goes, I will vouch for magnaflow, it is your best choice out of the brands you posted.

My brother has magnaflow on his 02 and I dont like the sound of it stock exhaust. After I added headers and a y-pipe, it sounds amazing... not as good as my exhaust tho (check out sig.) But overall either corsa or magnaflow

Hate to sound like a stang banger, but the flowmaster sounds pretty good under 4000 to me...just my personal opinion.

i just looked at the random tech system, its an extra 220 for stainless??!?! what the dick??? magnaflow is less expensive than that, i say stay away from aluminized. also i had talked to mitch from FLP (finish line performance), he said he didnt like the hooker system, with headers or at WOT it was too loud and would attract the police. i would ask him about it tho, his user name is FLP.

Yeah, that 220 dollars extra made me think too lol. I think i will go with a little cheaper version. Many people say magnaflow, i will check out sounds on youtube... But personally i would like something Loud (Muscle Car loud that is)

I noticed that the hooker catback isn't on your list. I picked mine up for $319 from ws6store and it sounds killer. A little quiet on stock manifolds and cats (but i run open cutout now), but it sounds deep and mean with no rasp!

Check www.ls1sounds.com

i have actually considered the hooker exhaust before those other ones, but as soon as i was informed that it is very quiet, i changed my mind...

I dont undersand why LS1 sounds so quiet from the factory...

i have a magnaflow 4x9 welded in place of my loudmouth 2 muffler. I think it sounds great, not too loud, but not too quiet. I had the magnaflow cat back on my last car, with stock manifolds and cats it is really quiet. Id vote for the loudmouth 2 cat back if your going to have stock manifolds for a while or plan on leaving the catalytic converters on the car.

If you are gonna run stock cats / y-pipe then I would go with the LM2.

If you are gonna eventually go with LT's and ORY I would go with Magnaflow or Hooker.

I've got a Hooker catback with LT's and an ORY and it sounds fantastic. It was a little quieter than most catbacks when I still had cats and manifolds, but it still had an excellent tone. The quality/fitment is a little questionable, but for the price, you can't beat it.

ive got mid-length headers, stock Y pipe and a loud mouth and it sounds great. there is some popping from time to time (mostly revs in neutral). but I keep getting complements on how it sounds.
