Default Need your opinion???

So I need your guys opinion...I just bought this 99 Z28 M6 about 2 months ago...I have only been driving it around for about 1 month, due to this very late/stupid winter. Anyways I want to mod this beast but I am wondering about the maintenance. Like every used car there are small things you find down the road that need to be fixed...For starters my clutch is very light, I got in my buddies cobra and he has a stock clutch but it is a lot harder to push in than mine, the previous owner replaced it in 06 I believe. The trans mount is bad. The rearend doesn't make a single noise YET! But I dont even want to take it to the track, there is NO way I can get money for a $2,500 9".

My plan is to get some LPP SS LT's LS6 intake, Either good catback and ORY or TD's haven't decided on that yet. 9". !AIR, !EGR. Some DR's, and a good tune. Hopefully that will put me in the low 12's I have no idea.

What would you guys do in this situation? I am 19, going to school full time for auto body repair, and I have the normal payments (car payment, insurance, phone bill, rogers and hollands bill (GF)...ect...

Thanks!

M

Before you even want to get in this game, know one thing.

You gotta PAY to PLAY.

If you cant afford fixing stuff that breaks, dont even consider modding your "beast"

What i recommend is each time you get a mod......get a supporting mod....for example....DR's i would get sub frame connectors too.....in an A4....but since your M6 save your money for a better rear end ......someone i know just broke his rear end.....stock m6......so......just get a better bullet proof superman rear end!!!

I think that is what I am gonna do just fix the small things and mod it slowly and dont go to the track until I can afford a new rearend. Also I need a new pulley (I am gonna guess the alt pulley dont know for sure) the thing thing screams like a bunch of new born birds. Them new SS LPP headers would look might fine under my hood!!!

Fix the the tranny mount, it's easy and cheap. Do all the mods, save the intake till later though. That's $200-$800 that'd be better spent elsewhere until you get the hp up higher. When stuff breaks or blows up, fix it. While the Camaro is down, pimp the probe. HAHAHAHAHA, I'm sorry. My winter car used to be a pink S-10, so I shouldn't make fun...

You could prolly get enough for those to buy something that looks nice and still have some money left over for light mods

jesse is right man you gotta pay a lot for this sport. fix what problems you are having now. get that out of the way and sit down and make a plan for what you want to use the car for. at the end of the day what parts do you want and what are you going to use it for. lid,catback,wheels/tires,headers,y-pipe,ported stock TB, underdrive pulley, tune. thats just bolt ons and accessories. have a plan and accept the consequences of what could happen before you start modding. be warned. modding is addicting

I'd pay the car off befor you start taking it to the track. I wouldent even bother with anything if your not going to take it to the track the car is faster than most cars as it is.
