Looks like you've got the stock t/a size 16's there.

I've got a t/a (not ws6) and it shows up as "Firebird Formula Trans Am" on insurance, carfax, etc.

I suppose it's like camaros-- all v8's are z28's... all v8 firebirds are formulas

Is that true? I thought an SS was just an SS, as opposed to a Z28 SS.

Firebirds were unique in that they had an extra trim level. Camaros had base and Z28; Firebirds had base, Formula and Trans Am, with SS and WS6 being the SLP option packages.

yes it is true....an ss is offically called a z28, the ss is the upgraded package', hence the z28 ss

So true. This is why things like reaction time and driving skill pay off.

Wow, what a thread. I wonder if the OP thought such a response would have come from that question.

I like what phantomzero said....some of you guys need to back the **** off about hatin' on Formulas, we didn't all get dealt the same hand in life. If you don't have the capacity to appreciate some people are doing the best they can, you can keep your comments to yourself.

Like I said earlier in this thread The Vin number in regards to Firebirds does not distinguish between Formula or Trans Am so if the Vin is looked up, be it insurance of DMV or whatever it should appear as Formula/Trans Am

You're really making yourself look bad arguing your point and not even knowing the correct information. Your comments are full of false info. I prefer the more aggresive looking t/a and t/a ws6 also but you should at least know what you're talking about before making a ridiculous argument about the power ratings.

no, they have a few...firebird, firebird formula, and trans am. you can use keywords for ws6 or firehawk or collectors edition. cars.com on the other hand blows weiner like no other. not even a section to check off 8 cylinder of something. autotrader>all
