We only have 1/8 mile around here, so I just looked at one of those generic conversion charts and came up with 13.1. I've never actually taken it to a 1/4 mile track and I don't know how to go about figuring a 1/4 mile trap speed...if that's even possible.

There is a way to 'calculate' but I don't know if it's acurate...just looking at your time I think you went much better than 13.1 but that's just me (considering you beat me by a lot in the 1/8th et wise)...what was the 60ft again?
FWIW According to the generic chart my 8.6 @ 85mph pass should have been a 13.42, we just pick up speed at the top end better than the cars they based their calculations on apparently.

I dunno if it helps, but here's my timeslip. Has the breakdown 1/8, 1000ft and such. The lane to my left is an '02 T/A WS6 with lid, tune, exhaust and factory 3.23 gears.

Keep in mind our altitude here is 1875 FT, usual corrected D/A is 3400 or so. These passes were at around 3400.

I want to make it to a 1/4 mile track one of these days but I'm scared of breaking down and being so far from home. My 60' on that 8.4 pass was a 2.060 on street tires

But yea, I honestly have no idea how accurate that conversion formula is.

I'd say it's within 1/10th or so. Using my timeslip it just about jives out, I was acutally a little faster than the calculator. Given the LS1's usually trap higher MPH than their E/T would normally dictate, it makes sense.

Here's a link to a calculator: http://www.hotrodpitstop.com/tools.html#3
