I've never had this light on before. Never seen it on my 97 ws6. I just bought a 00 formula and it has the light on. The remote works so what's the problem? I don't have the owners manuel, I'd check there. The horn has an issue could that be it?

 

Its the VATS (vehical anti-theft system). Trying cleaning the chip on the key with some rubbing alcohol. I had this a couple months ago and it would not even let me start the car. Do a search and you will find alot on this issue.

 

Thanks trans but no luck here. The car runs with no problems its just the light that is on. The remote works fine too.

 

had the same problem with my last fbody. drove it like that for 6 months w/o problems. not sure how to fix it tho
