Default Is buying Heads a good investment?? couple newb questions inside...

I am looking into some Terminator Cylinder heads but the cost is great...

http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item...d=667&catid=20

I have a couple questions:
Are they smog legal?
How much is the real life RWHP gain?
How much would the labor cost in an average shop?
Will it fit my stock 2002 Fbody?
Will i have to do any alterations to the engine? Do i need extra parts for it? Is it a direct bolt on?

Thanx guys

I have a couple questions:
Are they smog legal? Probably not but the smog **** won't know
How much is the real life RWHP gain? Look in the dyno section
How much would the labor cost in an average shop? I would say anywhere from $600-1600 depending on who does them
Will it fit my stock 2002 Fbody? They should
Will i have to do any alterations to the engine? Do i need extra parts for it? Is it a direct bolt on? Call TSP they will tell you what supporting mods you should do. I would do the valvetrain and might as well do a cam and intake while you're doing heads

hmmm...is it a good investment, no. Investment would assume you will gain some monetary value from it. Is it a good way to spend $$$ on your car, yes! You can net some good increases in power, but only if you choose the right parts and combine them with the right supporting parts. TSP and Speed Inc come to mind for me....get with them and let them select what would work best in their opinions, rather than taking someone's word for it who "claims" they had a huge power increase. These shops test and install this stuff alot, so their advice is probably a little more valuable then some that you will get posting in here.

For some reason TSP tried to steer me away from them when I talked to them. I am very happy with 5.3's satge 2.5's. Great bang for the buck IMO.
