ls6 intake

I have a 2000 ws6 and I am going to get a ls6 intake soon. I was wondering do you need to tune the pcm with the new intake or can you just leave it alone?

The LS6 flows better due to it's design and usually adds abotu 10-15 hp

the 2000 and 2001-02's are rated at the same power, yet 01-02s have the ls6 intake, whats wrong with that?????

You will be fine with the just the intake, but tune for it and you'll see more as well.

dont wast money on a tune till you put more mods into it...youll be happy with the power you make without the tune...
wait till you get Long Tubes exhaust and anything else before you get the tune to make it more worth the cash

so if i have a 98 and if i get an ls6 intake ill have more power than the 2001-2??

The later year engines also received better exhaust manifolds and slightly better cylinder heads, BUT the '01-'02 cars have a LAME factory tune that sucks the top end power out of them. The '01-'02s are factory programmed with a high octane timing table that is as bad as the '98-'00s low octane timing table when running on bad gasoline. The '01-'02s really wake up with a little computer tuning.
