You might, any chemicals/paint/coatings burning off the inside might set a code. After thats done you should be good.

I don't know what that means.

Heres how it goes whoever does the work.
Install everything.
Start it up and let it run, everything gets up to temperature which burns off/cures any coatings in the headers. Sometimes they can ruin the O2's if you're curing jethot or have plain with a bunch of cosmoline in them.
After they get nice and hot the light will either be on or not. Reset the light. Sometimes several times, sometimes never.

I can't predict whats going to happen just giving you ideas of what can.

If you kept the AIR system then you will not have a check engine light for that.

The only engine codes you will be getting will be for the rear o2 sensors...but the handheld can turn that off. It can not turn off the AIR codes.

No, that will not set off any codes.

But dang, I love watching fresh headers burn, and the smell! yummy.

I assumed since you're in CA and buying emissions headers that you'd be going with cats, but now I see you've put ory in your signature.
So yea you are going to get the rear o2's turned off.

if running an ory you will need to buy some 02 simulators for the rear o2s . also deleting the AIR/EGR will throw a code . this was one of the first mods i did back in the day . what i did was sent my computer off to wait4me and had him delete the rear o2s and AIR/EGR . look him up as he does great work for a mail tune for a good price .
with a lid , mac mid headers and duals i put down 348rwhp on the dyno . this is with a ls1 intake and everything else stock aside from ahveing the computer reflashed .

I know it's an off road y pipe, and it's not legal, thats why they call it off road...
But i just ordered the Y pipe itself without cats, nothing was stated that it was in fact off road, i was hoping to use my stock cats... Can i do that?

You cannot use stock cats with long tube headers and an off road y-pipe.

If someone tells you differently (again) it doesn't matter, when you get all the stuff in front of you it will be very obvious.
