purchassed ultraz hood noticed the air deflector inside the scoop, should i try to remove it? this is a sunny day only driver.

also i am trying to modify the hieght of the airbox assembly to allow a larger opening at the point where the
hood meets it, possible?

Yeah I did remove the deflector and I made an aluminum one of my own curving the air flow to the filter area.
Trash the box and get a FIPK or similar. More flow!!

Was surprised to find only your post when searching this site for ultra z hood from slp. Figured they were more popular than this ??

Sure would appreciate hearing your experience with the ultra z hood and pictures would be fantastic if ya have a digital camera..
