This is my opinion only...I don't want kill your sale 98Redbird. I have heard both systems and with the basic bolt ons I like the deep tone of the LM2 much better. The LM1 is just to raspy for my liking for almost everyday driving. I bought the magnaflow system because I knew someday I would cam the car and I am sooo glad I did. It is very quiet even compared to the LM2 with the basic bolt ons. With the cam in it, even my magnaflow system boarders on being to loud for me. When I unhooked the cutout with the new cam it is sooo obnoxious!!! When the wife was in the car with me with the cut out open, I could barley hear her talking. That might be a good thing. I only unhook it at the track. Everyone is different.

the magnaflow sounds pretty damn nice in comparison as well

I think the LM1 with no cats is by far the worst sounding exhaust I've heard on a LS1 car at WOT.

well my car has no cam for now and i am running the 40 series flow like i stated earlier and the thing is pretty loud so i dont know what i am going to do yet. i might weld up some true duals with madrel bent oval pipe dumping in front of the rear axle with flowmaster single chamber race mufflers. ive heard those and they sound pretty damn good.
