Default Catted-y and GMMG

Not sure where to post this question...

What I'm curious is, how much power am I sacraficing by running the american racing catted-y and gmmg opposed to a true dual setup on my bolt on/cam car?

I know the ASA cam is highly suseptable to power loss due to exhuast restrictions, but I am looking to replace the cam and am trying to match the next one up with my current exhuast configuration - it seems that most people in the "cam only" dyno list are running true duals.

There is some more HP to gain with TD's. But not enough to warrant a new $500 purchase IMO. If you had head's and cam I might think otherwise. But it also depends on what sound your going for. I think that TD's are very loud when dumped and that the GMMG is the best sounding exhaust out there.

Don't think TD are worth it if you are going to do H/C. I always see people changing back to a catback once they go h/c. I think the gmmg sounds **** with h/c.

Thanks for backing up what I was thinking... I plan to stick with the y and gmmg. I will be swapping my cam for one that isn't so influenced by exhaust backpressure though because my current set up isn't working very well for me.

Keep the catted y pipe and GMMG not much difference running TDs plus can't beat the sound of a cam and GMMG.
