no you need it, the MAF you can get rid of and go SD mode with no problems.

your air lid should have the provision for the IAT sensor.

Does anyone have a picture of where the IAT sensor is on a 2000 trans am? or any of the f-bodies in which it would be located in the same place. idk where it is, and i need to install my performance chip

performance chip.... you got one of those resistors off ebay didnt you... and spent $10 for a $.20 part btw those have mixed results, while some people gained hp from the increased timing, others didnt.

HAHA my friend had one at the track so i got one for free. I noticed it a little I guess a couple thoundths off my time but it loads up on fuel at an idle. It makes the computer think 32* air is coming in so it pulls a couple degrees of timing

UH! shouldn't it be adding timing

wouldnt lowering timing typically lower performance? i know it dumps more fuel in, but if its lowering timing, i think its just kind of counter productive (like low octane fuel tables with lower timing) just a thought, im not sure thats why im asking.

It's on the lid. And if there's no provision for it just drill a hole for it.
