Default Buying a cam

Gonna get the package from Texas Speed
"TSP Camshaft, PRC Spring Kit & Pushrod Package"

Question though I have a stock Ls1 02 Ws6 Trans Am.

Under options it says Pushrod Length and you can choose a few lengths
7.40" is (standard) Should I just keep that?

yep a friend of mine has a cam thats over 600 lift and he still has 7.4 length of course they suggest you measure so you dont get any ptv clearance issues but the 7.4 hardened push rods should cover ya.

Call and see what TSP recommends. I run a 7.450 pushrod.

Don't be afraid of the big cam. I have a 232/234 on a 112 and wish I would have went a lot bigger. I'll be swapping it for a TREX most likely for next season.

is this just going to be a street car with a over sized cam?

Thanks man.

If it's just a weekend driver, and you don't mind possibly having a little surging down low sometimes, and having to warm up your car for a few minutes before you go out and drive it, and the other little pesky things that go along with having a big cam, then GO WITH THE BIG CAM AND DON'T LOOK BACK. Seriously. You have an 02, which means you have the good rod bolts in your car, so spinning it up close to 7k shouldn't be a problem, especially not on a weekend only car. Check out some other vendors though. TSP has good deals and they have their cams that make power, but so do a lot of other companies out there. Decide if you want to add heads down the road, that should also effect your decision. Talk to people who are knowledgeable on the subject, search your *** off here on LS1Tech, and decide which cam is the one for you. The choices are almost endless, so don't limit yourself to just one sponsor.

Like Reject is saying. I think the MS4 would be too big for your setup. I am puting the MS3 in my 402 which is smaller than the MS4.

I say get an MS3ish sized cam. Weekend driver, you won't regret it.
