Minor question and bad drawing.
Attached is a 3 minute piece of work illustrating the accelerator. Its that thing thats like a toothpick holding up your 90 lb piece of lead. So anyway I was wandering... does anyone or everyone else have this thing I label "free play"? Its about an inch worth of pressing down from idle at the toe end of the pedal.
It doesnt cause rev or anything its just limp free play. The engine rev and normal pedal resistance starts just after that freeplay inch. It doesnt cause any issues or anything I was just wandering if its normal. Thanks

Nice drawing LOL.
I dont really have that play in my accelerator, but I would make sure you are getting full throttle with it to the floor. With the car off have someone push it to the floor and then try and move the throttle shaft on the throttle body more. The cable may be stretched.

I kind of do, except it's closer to the screaming girlfriend side. As in I can depress it all the way, and then stand on it and it'll go another half inch or so. It doesn't change how open my throttle body is, so I don't worry about it.
p.s.- nice drawing.
