Default Auto ECM with T56?

Hey,

Im putting together the parts I need to swap LS1/T56 into my 87 RX7.

I have an ECM/Harness/Motor from a 99 auto car. And a LT1 T56 (with input shaft/bellhousing mod). Im just curious if I can use the Auto ECM with the T56 or if I need to get an ECM and harness from a manual car?

I searched and can't seem to find any relative information.

you'll have to get the ecm flashed with a manual configuration.

The harness will work. You can add one wire/pin to the ECM connector if you care about the reverse lockout.
If not it'll work, throw a few codes. Only problem is the timing, idle, and several other things are different in the programming so its best to get it reflashed as said.
You'll still have codes to delete to get the cel to shut off.

Just so you know, that LT1 T56 will not bolt up to a LS1. The input shafts are different. You will have to find a LS1 T56.

Since he seems to be away at the moment I'll repeat what he typed.
