do stalls help from a roll too?

Yes, they help eliminate dead spots. Stalls are the reason you see automatic cars fry the tires from a 20 roll.

i got sum 3.42 rear end and mods listed. so it wont shoot the rpms up then bogg the motor once u hook lol?

With my stock converter, 30 MPH is the sweet spot and around 55-60 I can fry the tires at 30...

Well assuming you were at a near stock power level and stock gear 30 mph is worst speed for anything.

Not true... My 99 TA, with just a SLP lid, stock everything else and 107k miles and 3.23 optioned gears loves a 30mph punch

You're the only one. 30 is right at the point where it doesn't drop back into 1st and the rpms are a little too low in 2nd

Well, mine does drop into first for about a half of a second and then shifts to 2cd

It will also help by raising your shift extentions which keeps your RPM up. A tranny cooler and sticky tires are a must.
