Default Cutout and Cat-converter?

Thinking about putting on an electric cut out. Do you guys have problems with them leaking exhaust through the butterfly valve ever or at all?? I absolutely hate the ticking of a leaky exhaust. Also would it be worthless to do If I leave my catalytic converters on?? I was just going to throw a cutout on right in the single pipe under the passenger seat??

never had a problem with mine leaking. and no its not worthless to do if you have cats. it actually cuts down on the rasp if you have cats. with just a cutout you might gain 5-6 hp. not too much, but it does help.

Depending on what you're using the car for (like a DD) a cutout is the way to go. Sometimes you can't put a price on being able to flip-flop from loud to quiet.

A cutout will be plenty loud enough and mean enough for you. And if you still have your stock muffler then you have (close to) the best of both worlds.
