i have a ticking noise wondering what it is this is how it happen i was driving and i clutched it broke the tires loose motor spun to like 7rs backfired then felt like it had no power everytime i hit the gas it backfired like a shotgun and it started ticking so i pulled the valve covers and checked th pushrods they looked fine so then i pulled the spark plugs and the last i pulled on driver side was closed shut so i replaced and the backfire went away and the power is back but cant figure out the ticking noise tahnks

did you check lifters? also if its a really bad tick... could be a spun rod bearing.

no didnt check lifters i just pushed down on the rockers to see if it goes down easy and they didnt
