Question Header install weird feeling?

Just installed some pacesetter headers and ORY on my car also got a mild tune after install. My problem is that when I accelerate from a stop i kind of feel like a banging and grinding feeling coming from the bottom of my car it persist sometimes till about the car shifts. This feeling does not happen all the time just sometimes, and it does not happen while im going WOT on the highway...any ideas of what it might be?

Can you feel the banging under your feet? Might be the Y pipe hitting the floor.

then it seems like the y-pipe is hitting the floor as the motor moves around. Some nice stiff poly motor mounts will fix this... have fun installing them though...

Check the y pipe right under your seat. The way the engine rocks will make the y pipe hit the driver side floor. If you have a buddy have him rev it while you watch you'll be able to see it hitting.

The stock moter mounts are rubber. you can replace them with polly blocks they dont flex as much as the stockers. Solid mounts the engine is bolted direct to the k member.

no, poly = polyurethane. They are way stiffer then stock, but still have a bit of cushion to em.

Solid = well solid. The engine have 0 cushion to move around and is directly bolted in to the body. I would imagine this causing a lot of vibration throughout the body, and therefore I wouldn't get solid mounts. But im no expert on those... however i dig my poly motor mounts.

theres some work involved in putting new motor mounts in. Id research this before you buy them... unless your not doing them yourself, in that case nm.
When I had this done on my car it was a royal pain in the *** for the person doing it.
But it was worth it... I have the identical set up to you in terms of exhaust, and I have 0 banging issues. Though the rasp I got is another story.

The only mounts I could find on the TSP website are the solid ones. When I was looking for the Prothane brand when I was ordering other parts from TSP, they said they do not carry that brand.
