Lingenfelter Intake
Hey guys. First off I have a pretty much stock 02 ws6 (bolt ons) I know that my car comes stock with the ls6 intake. Heres my question: Was wondering if anybody has had any first hand experiance or heard of the John Lingenfelter signature LS1 intake by Weiand doing there car any good. Would this be stupid of me to even consider it? Is it really worth it? Thank you for your feedback

the ls6 is pretty similar to that intake next best thing is the 92/92.... in terms of a upgrade (or 90/90 if ya can find one used).. but i recommend cam/heads before any of that

Id also recomend taking a second mortage out before buying a FAST intake.
Dont know much about lingenfelter's intake, but the LS6 is pretty good. Ive seen alot of people happy with aluminum intakes as well.

i traded my ls6 straight up for a weiand...it was not polished but i polished it. it can be ported more than the ls6. also if you have a nitrous backfire it wont blow apart. i think it looks better imo. but i wouldnt run out in buy one.

HEAT IN THE INTAKE IS NOT A GOOD THING...COOLER AIR MAKES A DENSER AIR CHARGE..THE PLASTIC OR ABS INTAKES SUCH AS THE LS6 KEEP THE AIR COMING IN COOLER SO UNTIL YOU CAN MAKE MORE POWER THEN THE LS6 CAN FLOW I WOULD STICK WITH IT.

I've got one (see below) and like it a lot, although I'm also running a little n2o as well. For those worried about heat soak, it really doesn't get that hot (I've got ceramic coated headers though, which contribute significantly to lower underhood temps). Stick your hand on your plastic intake after it's been running a while though, you'd be surprised as to how hot it gets.
