High Idle Problem **SOLVED**
An abundance of the cures had suggested, I needed a new tune, a problem with a vaccum leak somewhere in the manifold, a MAF, a TPS, an IAC, and a bunch of other capital letters.
I noticed that someone else, probably as frustrated as I was, suggested that there was 'no cure' for this problem, because no one had ever written back that they had the problem solved. What good is a BB or forum if you ask a question, receive a lot of replies, but no one says, "I solved it! or Your suggestion was correct and its fixed."
Let me be the first to say, "My high idle problem is cured."
The symtoms were:
1. When started the car would idle at 1200 to 1500 rpms, and surge between those numbers.
2. When it was idling at 1000 rpms and I put the a/c on it would go to 1200 to 1700 rpms and surge.
3. When started, it would go to 2000 rpm and if I tapped the gas, it would stay at 2500 or 2800 rpms, until shut off.
4. The battery would die after three days and click when the key way turned. The battery was 875 CCA and 20 months old (96 month warranty).
5. I had just done a draw down test (to test for a current draw on the battery when car is parked) and had pulled every fuse in the car and no current draw! BUT, the battery would die. All this done prior to 1 to 3 above.
The cure: Bought a brand new battery, installed it, let it charge fully while idling for 1/2 an hour. Problem solved!

PS. I did have five hours of enjoyable reading.
