big problem

Default big problem

Not too sure but im bouncing off some kind of rev limiter at 118mph and want to know how to get around it i just pin it to the floor and it hits 118 bounces back to about 114-115 and repeats. Really irratating!!!!!!

What kind of car are you talking about? I've had my z28 to 155mph no problems. Your car probly has a governor.

just a magnaflow exhaust and a k&n filter thats it 2001 z28

i had mine up past 140 when i was stock and i have an 01 6spd ....never heard of a gov.on an f-body

I heard, the cars that came without Z rated Tired are governed at 118!!! So that probly why u cant go past that!

i did not know that but i had z rated tires from the factory when i bought my car new

i also heard about the none z rated and it didnt come with the z tires is there any way to pass it without big bucks. its an a4 by the way wanted a m6 but coudnt pass up a 2001 z28 with 50k on it for 5000. nothing wrong mint shape

You can tune that out with a hp tuner or something like that.

My hp tuner was around $500. Call some local tuners and see if they can do it for you.

tunes are about 400 but call your shop and ask if they could delete that program

thanks going to to do that know just the ppl to call, oh by the way i also put a QTP electric valve exshaust cut out on and let it run open for a while and started to loose low end torque do these motors need back pressure?

if you have a cut out i would dyno tune the car and it should clear that up

i do notice alot more pickup after about 50 though when its open it may sound childish but i kinda use it like a nos swich and open after 50
