New Orleans for small road trip? Hey guys, me and my girl are thinking about doing a small roadtrip somewhere to get out of TX for a few days - we were thinking New Orleans since we love the food (crawfish, etc)
Just wanting to see if anyone has recommendations on where to stay, and what places to see as far as tourist attractions. And of course, the best restaurants to eat at!
Also would love to take the TA out there and meet some of the F-bodies out there.

Check out Deanies' Seafood, near the lakefront area. Got all your seafood needs. Far as meeting f-body's, sundays on the lakefront is the spot to meet, near another good restaurant that sits right near the meeting spot, can't remember the name. Don't stay directly in New Orleans, maybe metairie and make sure u have a good alarm system on your car. Its a hot item down here. Have fun and be careful!!!

The name of the restaurant on the lakefront is Landry's. It used to be Joe's Crab Shack.
I don't know when you are coming down but this is the last weekend of Jazzfest. Fri Sat and Sunday. Little pricey but it is the biggest festival every year. People come from around the world to the Jazzfest.
You can try Zea's restaurant in Metairie. There are a few of them in the metro area and I have never gotten a bad plate of food from them. Treasure Chest casino parking lot on Sunday nights usually draws a little crowd.

I see you are from San Antonio, I am guessing you know Detoxx on here. He is local to me. I have family in Ft Hood/ Killeen area and In-laws in the Houston area.
