Posi can hold that in an auto car no problem......Spool I do not recommend for a street car, although some will tell you it can be done without issue.

only got to do 2 runs last night. got the first run in, and then after me some guy leaked tranny fluid all over and the track was closed for cleaning for over an hour. then as things got goin again, someones entire fiberglass front end flew off as he went down the track.

eventualy i got my second run in, which was a 13.2, and the woman who handed me my ticket told me i was going too fast and required a helmet for test and tune. told me if i ran anything under a 14 again that night i would be asked to leave. she did this to some other guy in a mustang bullit who ran a 13.9. i heard quite a few people bitching and complaing. i didn't bother to race anymore, hung around talked to some friends then left. i can understand following rediculous strict rules for official sanctioned races, but test and tune... really? running in the 13's is not all that fast, i can see using a helmet in low 12's maby... most people who come to the track to have legal fun aren't going to buy a helmet unless they are running something rediculous or really putting money into professional races. and they wonder why people street race.

If it's not an everyday car, then a spool would be fine. Everyday I think it could get annoying, but it boils down to preference. I liked mine, but once again, it's all about preference. When I get another 9" it will be spooled also. The horror stories you hear is what scares alot of people away from a spool, but I've driven mine in all weather and it was fine. Just don't act like an idiot, but that wouldn't be any different for a posi or locker. We're all aware of what these cars are capable of and the rear end doesn't matter. If you act like an idiot with any rear in any weather it can be bad.

Paul, every track is like that. It's part of it. If your a racer or enjoy the sport then a $80 helmet is worth it. Street racing cost's way more than that when the fines hit, but it could be someone's life and that is priceless. 13.99 and under has always been required to wear a helmet. That's all they require. They could tech every car that comes through thoroughly and hardly anyone would get to race if they stuck to it. Technically a 13.99 or faster car is supposed to have a drive shaft loop and the list goes on from there. So complaining about a helmet is pointless IMO.

They don't check your helmet specs anyways and I saw some at walmart the other day for like $50. That isn't hard to come by these days.

Back when I was runnin 13.0's bone stock they told me I was fine, then when I went out and busted my 1st 12.8 they told me I had to have a helmet if I was faster then a 13.0. So when I went out with the slicks and busted those 12.5/12.6's they then told me I had to have a driveshaft safety loop. So they must have just changed the rules, not to mention that the dude likes my car so he maybe showing favoritism lol.

I was running 13.4's in mine 5yrs ago and was told to get a helmet. Went and got a helmet and a tune and busted 12.9's. I think it depended on who was out there way back then. I also was allowed to run without a seat belt in one of my other rides, so like I said, it depended on who was out there or who you knew. But under the management now I'm sure it's gonna be enforced. This same guy managed Hallsville back in the day and it was a helluva track so this guy isn't picking on anyone he just knows how to run a business. Safety is priority out there anyways and the insurance policy they have to carry to even run a 1/4 mile track is astronomical so a few minor rules for us to follow isn't too much to ask I don't think.

I scored a nice helmet off ebay. It was a display model from a motorcycle shop and I gave a grand total of $25 shipped to my door. Those deals are everywhere on ebay. Pick you one up. My helmet is even red to match the car But before that I was borrowing Hiltons extra helmet.

Anybody looking for a clutch that can handle a lot of power? I am pulling my Textralia OZ-700 6 puck clutch in a couple weeks. I am selling this in order to step up to a twin disk clutch.

Honestly, I unsure exactly. It was put in a few years back and at that time this car stopped becoming my daily driver and has been under the knife on-and-off since then because I always want to add stuff, so it isn't anything crazy LOL When I get it pulled out, Ill take some pics or let you come look at it.

Well in other news today after selling the heads to josh I stopped by my buddy Justin's house in Minden and bought his Fast 92 setup, he had a wreck headed to thunder racing in south La, had his car (01 SOM WS6 M6) on a trailer and it landed in the bed of the 2010 duramax z71, a he spent gobs or $$ on the lil 383 motor N/A it made 535 hp 472 tq so hes gonna put that motor in his veaga wagon with a jr victor and a carb, so I had dibbs on the Fast setup which included intake/tb/42lb Lucas injectors, fast fuel rails, and fast fuel gauge plus the braided fuel lines all for $800!! By the way hes gonna sell the car as a roller! Need front bumper, hood is damaged might be able to repair idk, core support and not sure what else! Here are a few pics of the car before and after, the truck, and the veaga wagon. I think hes wanting $2500 for the car and the Interior is awesome crack on the driver door cover, and some stitching on the driver seat fraying other than that its nice!!
