ATK Machined 5.3L Bare Blocks!
We are now offering a machined 5.3L Bare block. This is a great option for a fresh build and guys going from an LS1/LS6 to an Iron version. All blocks will be a .030 bore size, NO OTHER OPTIONS AVAILABLE at the moment. I have 9 of these in stock at the moment and they will come as pictured.
$675.00 shipped in the main 48 states. Tax is additional in (TX, CA, MA, WA, MI, FL, GA, MO, KS, IN).

Cast Numbers: 358, 392, 393, 398, ETC (1999-2007)
Bore Size: 3.809" (.030 Bore)
Cam Bearings: Installed
Plugs: Installed
Painted: Yes
We DO NOT use a torque plate on the 5.3L Blocks (Nor did GM). The 5.3 with it's small 3.799" bore and thicker cylinder walls is much further away from the head bolt pattern that cylinder distortion is minimal. The 6.0L block with its 4.000" bore does distort enough for us to use a Torque plate on all of our engines/short blocks.
After testing numerous blocks with a Torque Plate bolted down:
The 5.3 only changed around .0001 - .0002
The 6.0 changed .0015 - .002
