Default Insulating a stand alone fuel cell

Guys, I have a Nitro Dave's fuse block location fuel cell. On a day of cruising, no spray at all, and a night of racing the tank will pretty much be dried up. I will make 6 2-4th gear passes during the night. When I went to the track, I made 6 passes and it only drained 1/2 the tank. have you guys ever had a problem with race gas actually vaporising from the heat of underhood temps?

I was thinking of lining the outside of the tank with some insulation like what is on the fuel lines coming into the engine bay.

I need to open my tank and see how much fuel is left... I haven't touched it in awhile. I agree with you on the underhood temps... My standalone gets too hot to touch after the car running awhile.

Mine got hot, too. I cut up some Thermotec heat blanket sized to fit each side. Then glued it on with Permatex Ultra-copper silicone. Made a huge difference. I used a cooking thermometer prior to the Thermotec and the fuel was in the 280 degree range after driving for awhile. After the Thermotec, driving the same distance, the fuel was 180.
