Add fuel and/or reduce timing helps for safety but there still is no reason not to run the colder plug though.

Proper tuning and proper parts is the key, its not one or another. You can have cold plugs and shitty lean tune and still blow a motor and you can have a decent tune and stock plugs and still melt a plug. Im sure you can get away with stock plugs for a little bit but why even risk it??

If you search around here there are instances of guys running stock heat range plugs and ruining their engines on spray.

I run TR7's @ .035 with a powerglide, 4.10's and 5500 stall on the street no problems driving on the street at all

You need to side with caution on nitrous. I cannot stress that enough! I see people looking to do obnoxious shots through single nozzles, plates, etc. and all I can do is give my suggestion and its up to the persons involved to decide if its the right direction for them or not. And that's exactly what everyone in this thread is doing so far, recommending to be on the cautious side. I highly recommend dropping heat ranges on the plugs. And I HIGHLY recommend not spraying the platinum tip plugs. If you have any questions as to why, please by all means just ask. Thanks.

Would changing the gap on a spark plug after a car has been tuned effect the tune?

on a side note the only problem ive had with my ngk's is running a shot and torco, they dont really seem to like each other
