Default BIG n20 guys inside please

Ok, here is my situation I have a 408 billet mains, 1/2" head studs, lunati internals w/ diamond pistons. I have two sets of heads siting here, one set will give me 12.5:1 comp and the others will get me right at 14:1. Both heads flow close to each other, so I wouldnt be giving up much flow.

It has a plate and DP kit both stages are pilled for 200 each.

The cam is a high 250's 270's cam on a 113 +2 (hyd)

The car has full suspension and will only be a track car so it will be on race gas at all times.

My question is what compression would you go with and why?

Thanks for any help.

14:1 for every last hp, but the only thing that should go in the tank/fuel cell should be c16 or better.

Thats what I was thinking, but I read some where that some of the big boys were backing the compression down a little bit and throwing more nitrous in it.

Also, I have some Q16 going in it, just to try it out.

Depends on how much you plan on spraying. 14:1 is going to be a massive amount of cylinder pressure with a big shot.

I would go with the 12.5 comp heads and hit it harder with more nitrous.Your better off with less compression and more nitrous on the stock blocks.Static compression makes it a bit harder to keep the heads down.

I would also fill the block half way, really locks the bores up from rattling around and keeps them heads down.

i run 14-1 on my car, but i dont hit it hard. 250-300 is about all i do i might bump it up we'll see.
if you plan on hitting it with 400 in 2 stages i would go 14-1 any more then that 12

I had 12.5:1 last year. I know have 14:1 and it made more power N/A. I plan on spraying the same 500 pills on it. I in fact would like to add another 200 on top of that. I have not had one single problem with head lifting. I also have 1/2 head studs with Diamond pistons and Lunati billet internals. Cometic gaskets. I have a big solid roller 279/292 732/732 on a 114, with BIG Dart heads. Made over 600rwhp on the dynojet N/A.
