6 speed guys with big hits, have a question
just stepped up to a 250 shot and the car makes a **** load more power and is pretty violent at the track. problem is as soon as i hit it with this bigger shot i couldn't get it to hook out of the hole to save my life. now i have qa1 shocks, drag sway bar and hoosier 27" qtp's, and tried a **** load of adjustments. i adjusted my fjo controller for a 2 tenth delay off the start and that seems to work great. my fjo controller has a delay set up in it but everytime i let off the throttle to shift, it delays again in every time i get back on it. now if i had a auto it would be fine cause you hit the gas and never lift. what are ya'll using and what do ya recomend?

I've been down this road. If your controller is a FJO mini controller set it on RPM based instead of on time. Start out with a low % hit @ a lower rpm (around 3500) and run it flat to get you out of the hole. Then ramp it up aggresive @ around 4300 rpm to be at 100% @ around 5300 rpm. That way when you shift into 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear you will be at full spray.
All that said...you will still have to fine tune what % at what prm works best for you. I can go ahead and tell you it's a fine line between a good launch and a terrible one in a M6 with a big nitrous hit. Good luck and keep us posted!

What Keith said is about the limits of the FJO...thats one thing I like about the NOS mini..it has a pause or resume feature...this will allow the controller to either start the ramp over or pick up where it left off when you lose either TPS or RPM activation signals.

It seems the way the car hits just on motor is very violent, at least thats what I exp and given I am pulling my wheels with a weak 60 foot means the drag bar, and shocks are going on next but to get a 150 to 250 hit off the limiter has to be something else. I almost expect that I will run a controller at some point, Or move the n20 selinoid 5 feet away

went to the track sunday, which happened to be the last day its open for the year, and tried to ramp the fjo like KiethBarry said and only got one n2o pass in. the car right before me oiled the track down and then the track got cold during the 40 mins it took to clean it so that pass i spun comin out so didn't get a chance to really try it. but i can say it will work and its how i plan on runnin next year.
thanks again for all the input and good luck to all next year!
