Search, there's a lot of threads about this. Mounting the bottle in the spare tire well is a common location also.

if you dont use the hump between the seats you'll really have two other options. Most popular seems to be hidden in the spare tire well

The other option will be above the gas tank. If you dont have t-tops or dont care about having a place to put them, then you can mount it there.

I have mine mounted on the hump between back seats with the HSW bottle bracket. Pull the 2 pins and the bottle comes right out and I tuck the line behind the seat. The bracket that stay in the car is barley noticeable. I have 2 girls that have to ride back there so I need the room also. Besides, you don't want to ride around with a bottle all the time, especially in hot climates.

I'd like to put mine above the gas tank for space reasons, but I'm going to end up putting them on the hump between the rear seats. It gets way too hot down here to have them sitting some where like that in the sun all day.

I had mine hidden behind both seats covered with black blankets, never once did the track officials see them. Nor the stuff under the hood.
I just got a cage installed, and removed my rear seats, I am going to try mount them there angling toward the tunnel. I love those billet mounts but for two bottles it gets spendy.

Because it could blow the disc out and then you'd have no nitrous. I had a bottle blow a disc that was sitting in my trailer and outside temp was only about 100 degrees. And even if it doesn't blow check your pressure gauge when it's been sitting in the car in 118 degree day, it ain't between 950-1050 unless it's about empty. It could be high enough to not even open your solenoids. When it's a hot day at the races I usually have to ice the bottle down between rounds to keep it around 1000.

#2 reason is some cops could be jerks and ticket you in some places since it's illegal for street use.

#3 reason is if it's in plain site why give a criminal another reason to bash your windows in and take something?
