What kind of heads do you have? I think it would be all over the 8's on the 250 shot. Or right there at it anyway.

If it likes the spray and you hook, low 9's maybe a high 8 on the 250.

I think it will take more than 250.
But I have been wrong before.

11.05 @ 127.7 motor 26" tire
11.20 @ 120.5 motor 28" tire
10.15 @ 133.5 200 shot 28" tire.

26" tire on hose should be close to 9.80's at 140 and still have some rpm to go..needs a 4.30 and 28's to work well.. also powerglide trans at 3550lbs.

my motor is a nitrous motor, im going 11.20@126 on motor with a stock gear and stock rear end. i am a six speed car though, so i assume i wouldnt pick up as much as you guys on the bottle. i planned on a 300-350ish shot. once i got the suspension and rear end i was hoping for a mid 10. i dont think my car would pick up as much as some for you, im impressed on how much you guys pick up on spray

Why run a power glide at 3550lbs and 4.30 gears? I would think a th400 at your weight would be a safer trans. 3.90's or 4.11 gears would be a good choice when running in the 9's. I guess it really depends on the rest of your set up.

Well for us even when i was 3500 and wayne was 3600 the glide is a good 80 lbs lighter so thats the first thing. and bith of us kept finding the bumber with the th400 so a glide and a 180 first gear helps keep the nose down on the juice. Glides can be built to hold plenty of power thats for sure.

I did it just to make things easier on a 275/60 tire. I'm a rookie and need all the help I can get..haha. It's being torn down now for port work/cam, etc. Looking for 75more HP N/A and then 100 more thru the plate. Maybe low/mid 9's if it works good. Now it's 7000 shift, no clue what it will be with a new setup. I'm sure 3.90/4.10 will be close to what I need for 145+mph.

Heads are stock ported 241's. They flow 339 @.650 lift on intake and 217 @ .650 lift on exhaust. I'd love to see it hit 8's on that shot but i'm not counting on it

That's pretty much what i'm hoping. We'll have to see if I have to dial my suspension in some more, but I think it's 60 footing pretty well for being set up for spray.

Thanks guys for the encouraging words

I have run 10.62@128 on motor but I average more in the 10.75-10.8 range on motor usually..... 60' hover around 1.50-1.55 NA.....

Car leaves on a 150 shot, dropping 60' times to a best of 1.38..... I shut the car down at 800' the last time out with about a 300 shot total and the car went 9.54@130 coasting the rest of the way....

Probably would have been on a low 9.30 pass or so.... going to shoot for the 8's next time out with 400hp worth of gas....

Just an update I got some new NA times and I believe the tune is right so I can start tuning for the nitrous now.

The other weekend the car ran a 6.92@101.2 in the 1/8 and a 10.82@125.07 1/4. I went back the following Friday to a 1/8 mile bracket race and ran a 6.86@101.9 I believe that would have gotten me in the 10.70's.

I am hoping to run 6.90's on motor and 6.0's or better on the bottle. It should easily run 6.20 or less with the same pills making 700rw. Ultimate goal or what it could run could be as low as 5.8X based on the weight, power, gearing etc.....

We will see... should have the tranny in within a couple weeks at most.

btw, car did manage a 7.3 or so at around 4000lbs with driver. I took out alot of weight...

-iAC
-relocated battery
-air bags
-heater core
-more AC ****
-lighter wheels
-lighter tires
-bumper supports front and back

and a few other odds and ends.

I'm not sure what the car weigh's. If I had to guess I would say 3400+ whatever I happen to weigh at the time.

Im still tunning mine Best time NA was 11.38@ 120 with a 1.89 60ft on the trans brake . a dog out of the hole Nitrous cam custom grind,Neal chance N20 converter, T400 3:73 gear 28inch tire. car was built around a 300 shot so basically sucks NA. Will have spray times next week if it would stop raining in missouri.

Is that 370 in your sig the cubic inch? What's the ET and 60' difference between brake and no brake?

Mine runs high 10s NA but have yet to spray it all the way through with a hard hit. With the new mods i have now (4 barrel TB,Victor Jr,42lb injectors,28" DR's and Yank SS 4000) it should run alot quicker NA. Right now im going to stick with a 100-150 shot of nitrous until i get a stand alone. Should run somewhere in the middle 10s NA now and well into the 9s on the button.

yea 370 Cube. motor. With no brake the best 60ft I got was a 1.95 I only tried a couple of times and was trying to get the rpm up more but ended up pushing the car and rolled it off the line which made it not hook. The stall I have is 4200 na and 5000 on spray. Marty @CHANCE conver. bult it for N20 only.

In my Camaro the best NA time on my nitrous tune was a 10.35@129 on a 1.479 60 ft. Car was a little under 3000lbs raceweight. Setup consisted of a 427 LS1 block, LS6 heads, LS6 intake and turbo 350 this was like 5 years ago.

Who would you guys suggested for a custom cam?
I'm thinking about going 408, stage 2.5 5.3's, either ls6 intake or victor jr, and a 200 shot. I just don't know what to do about the cam.

Also what kind of gearing are yall using? I've seen quite a few of you using 3.73 on a 28". I was thinking about going 4.10's on a 28".

I had Patric G spec my cam. It seemed to like the gas on the Dyno so we will see. I run 3.73's with a 28" tall tire.
