I was just suggesting the 275. The whole point is to have a nitrous radial class. If everyone would want a 315 or 325, no problem. I think the 275 is a great tire for a class though

The 275's would help the slower cars.

They can throw everything they have at it right away and the big HP guys will have to ramp the power in slowing them down.

I have ran on 315's, 295's, 325's and 275's there is a big difference.

Hypothetically......If there was a 275 nitrous class, would people be more inclined to make the trip to Memphis?

It would depend on the rules but it definatly has my attention.

I think its going to be a tuff year for all of drag racing with the economy the way it is.

My ideas are to keep the rules as loose as possible to maintain the heads up atmosphere. Basically, weight breaks, no wheelie bars, and 275's. You should be able to have as many kits as you want, with as much of a shot that you can make work.

Sounds good.

It would be a motter of how far you want to break the weights down.
adding 50lbs. or so per kit would just help level the field and afterall thats what your looking for right?

The more guys that think they have a shot at being competitive the more racers you will see.

The local 275 class allows 88mm tubos and F1R or equal blowers.

Come down to mir for the 275 nitrous class there an all run field. we ran 1 kit for a few races 6.0-5.9 was mid pack. 5.7 and you would be in top 5 and 5.4 you would be number 1. id gues it will get .2 faster on all those this year.

That would be a good way to get the car count to the point that NMCA would take this proposal under serious consideration.I think the FI guys would have to be limited, and that would kind of take away from the spirit of the class though. We're already going through that in Drag Radial. NMCA doesn't want to really slow the turbo guys down because they feel it would take away from the class.

I think a 275 DR nitrous class would be great I would definitely come for that. Only one suggestion no outlawing of the nitrous push systems. Because I am getting ready to buy one in about a week. and I'm tired of buying new toys and then not being able to run my car in any class.

I think the idea would be to make it a "run what ya brung" class, but I could see a small weight penalty for having a NANO or comparable system.

I would love for this to really happen. Could be great for the Nitrous LSX community. Do not mistake this for a streetcar class though. I think this should truly be a heads up class.

I talk to probably the bigest majority of hard hitting nitrous guys in the LSX communtity. I was really disapointed that so many told me strait up last year they would not be going because they could not compete. I was really hoping to see many of them there. I know for a fact that attendence from the hard hitting nitrous community would be up if they gave them there own class or leveled the playing field so they could compete. Until they do they will not have the attendence or support of the harder hitting nitrous cars. They are not going to spend the money to go to memphis knowing they will be lucky to make it out of the first round.

Jmill96Z, are you doing any good talking to them?

It's about 50/50. Most people seem receptive to the idea of the class, but are skeptical of wether it could happen or not, and would require some setup changes to run a smaller tire. The FI guys are very receptive to a smaller turbo and strapping on the 275's. I think I just might need someone a little bigger in the nitrous community to show some love for this. I shot a pm to RPM over on Yellow Bullet, and don't have a response yet.

Going rounds is really what prompted me to start getting a feel for the interest in the class. On 275's there is the capability of a mid 9 sec. car going a couple of rounds, which increases the total amount of competitive cars.
