Default Should I consider my elevation??

Hi, maybe i'm dumb, but i've searched and searched but I can't find anything on this so here goes...

I live in Wyoming, where the elevation is 6109 ft. I bought a '99 T/A in July and am going to put a dry nitrous kit on it in the next couple months. My question is, since the elevation is so high, will i still be able to safely run a 100 shot on a stock everything except a FTRA and longtube headers? Or, should I just run something smaller? Sorry if this had been posted and I couldn't find it, I've read sticky's galore looking for it...maybe i'm an idiot..i won't rule that out!! LOL

You will be fine, only thing you will have to check is the injector duty cycle to make sure the injectors are up for the task

I live in Albuquerque, elevation is 5200 ft +/-. 100 shot will be no problem at your elevation, you will be down at least 100 hp from what most at sea level see.

Elevation will not matter on a average car. Nitrous pretty much creates its own atmosphere. If you need any help or guidence let me know.

Elevation will have a big effect on any car. You go much faster at sea level than at 6000ft......NA or FI, it just won't be a big a difference with nitrous or FI.

But to answer the OP's question you'll be better off with the altitude. The higher the altitude you don't have to run as high an octane gas, pull as much timing or you can run a larger shot. You'll be safe with a 100, I shot 125 with pump gas and stock tune and our altitude is close to yours.

I guess we have it lucky down here at a whopping 300ft.

Yeah its pretty high up here, but it was nice when I took it to Vegas for a week, the thing ran like it had an extra 100HP. (this is the reason for a nitrous install now) haha Anyway, thanks for the help guys I appreciate the replies!!

yeah, youre basically picking up what you already had at sea level. welcome to the club (5280 ft.) the benefit at the track is your driveline will handle it better because you arent putting down dyno corrected numbers.
