Re: PICS of Direct Ports,
Got all the nitrous stuff for about $1100 and the fuel system stuff for about $600, with good deals on both ends. May cost you a little more depending on where you get your stuff.
Glad it's working good for you Brian. The pics are still hosted, I just removed the links from my page. People ocassionally ask about the system, so I like to keep the pic's handy.

Re: PICS of Direct Ports,
I was looking at nitro daves and he has a FI direct port system listed for almost 900. Is that system going to be sat up for higher fuel pressure or something? I saw the carbed dp kits but they only had shot listings of 200 hp shots and up(I'de like to start with a 150 and go up)

Just thought I'd dredge up this old thread so I can post my pics in it
Still haven't setup the N2 push system, but it's very soon to follow... just need to find the right bottle to use....

I was only spraying 150rwhp with that kit lol. I could go through a full 15lb bottle and still have fuel left in the fuel cell but I usually topped it off anytime I was going to spray just for precautionary reasons.

Please bare with me here, I've got a noob question. Feel free to explain it as in depth and technical as you want...
Why do you guys all run seperate fuel sytems, and how do you run them? How does it work? I'm a little confused as to how it is all wired, using both fuel tanks/resevoirs.
My first guess for having the need for another fuel supply, would be to get rid of the hesitation that is sometimes found in DP kits. Or to supply a given amount of fuel pressure once the kit is activated?
Like I said, I don't know a whole lot about nitrous setups, and was jus wondering how you guys were able to set this all up. All of these installs look top notch! Awesome..

The main reason that guys run a sepearte fuel system for the DP setup is because most DP foggers are designed to run with low fuel pressure (from 9-16 psi) compared to the stock fuel pressure of 58psi.
There are other advantages such as the ability to run 104+ octane in the small cell to help fight detonation issuses. It's ALOT cheaper to fill a 1 gallon cell with the expensive gas and run regular pump gas in tank. There have been some problems with hesitation when using the stock fuel system, but I've also heard of some hesitation issues on a seperate fuel system too. I think alot of it has to do with how well the fuel side of the DP setup is able to handle rapid pressure fluctuations on the delivery side, and the regulator's ability to knock those spikes down.
The DP fuel systems are usually wired so the pump only comes on when the nitrous system is armed, so the pump normally doesn't run... just once you arm the system. Some guys have a seperate switch to manually turn on the fuel system too.... I prefer the automated (on when armed) setup myself....
I'm currenty setup to run off the stock system, using a Magnaflow pressure regulator off the fuel rail. I've seen it drop the stock fuel pressure down to 9psi on the DP side when flowing, so hopefully it'll work for me. If not, I'll be switching to a seperate fuel system design.
Hope this helps.
