Boy that's a lot info your asking for. you may have better luck with one question at a time. it would take many paragraphs to cover all that you want. I normally would help in the areas i can, but super busy so i will cover one area. the rod bolts are normally addressed if your pulling the motor apart, but if your going smallish, many run stock bolts so just stay with a reasonable size shot and you will be fine. Only you can decide how far you want to push it, but if it were mine I would have no issue with a 100/150 and probably even hit it with a 200 every once in a while.

I agree with Robert. Stay in the 100/150 realm and slap on a 200 every now and then. I would suggest however if you where to go above 150 at any point upgrade the fuel pump. As for going 11.99 dont see an issue with a 150, I went 12.00 with full exhaust a converter and a 75 shot and NOTHING else so a 150 should compensate for the converter IMO as long as it dead hooks and you spray it out the hole. I would say the things to concern yourself would be the stock tranny, fuel pump (just need some more fuel) and rod bolts just to touch first base with some issues you may run into. There are 100 other things that could go wrong obviously but those are most common.
go for it! I sprayed a 250 dry with a completely stock shortblock for a good while and never had any issues, did burn my tranny up though. Any questions feel free, good luck.

Joe

The rear end will hold up much better on an auto with a stock stall. Mine never broke and I hit it with 667rwhp out the hole at about 4k rpm, But I know that is not common. I would think he would be safe. Now if it was a manual, different story.
