Default fjo first gear lockout

I havent used the 1st gear lockout feature yet because I have some concern. Based on what I have read... you must COMPLETELY pass through the window once for the nitrous to activate. In sake of saving 2nd gear, i usually shift slightly earlier in 1st, lets say 6000 rpm. Say in the rest of gears I shift at 6500. I dont want to have to set my window to 5950 rpm just to get this feature to work. It really doesn't make any sense. You think they would either let you set the 1st gear shift point OR detect the fall in rpm.

Also most people, even if they dont short shift 1st, shift before the the top of their window so this problem exists no matter what. Im hoping im miss informed and has atleast some lee-way where it would work if you got within a few hundred rpm of the top end rpm limit.

You have the correct understanding of how it works.
