Most people say anything above a 200 shot you should go direct port.

I've run a 200 shot through an LS6 for 2 straight years. Mine was setup dual stage though. The car would always feel like it kind of nosed over on the big end, but the MPH didn't really show. It just felt like it was running out of breath.

Anyways, I wouldn't spray more than 200 through the front if it was on mine. I try to be safe though. It makes **** last longer.

I've *seen* 250 through an LS6. I personally wouldn't spray more than a 175-200 through one.

no more than 200 unless you have hp tunners and can watch it. What fuel set up are you running? What plugs? what timming? Do not do that much of a shot off you fuel rail you could lean out that side of the motor then POP. I ran a nitro dave dedicated with 116 fuel in the tank have had several low 10 sec passes running a 200 shot thru the fast 90. Talk to a sponsor on here.

with a stand alone fuel system can you still run pump gas through the main tank if you have the 116 in the dedicated nitrous tank? And i was also wondering what it would cost to setup a standalone fuel system for nitrous.

That's one purpose of a standalone, too be able to run a higher octane fuel. We've actually run up to 275 shots on an LS6 intake with our standalone system and two stages. I don't recommend that, but it is possible. As Jeremy said, you will mostly be losing out on the top end.

I would not be worried about how much the intake can flow. I would be concerned about two other things.

1. The intake is designed to flow air not fuel. So if you are running a wet shot I would not want to flow more than a 175 shot worth of fuel through the intake.

2. Due to the intake design you have to worry about leaning out cylinders 5 and 7. So for anything over a 175 I say go direct port. That way you can properly get 5 and 7 a little heavy on fuel.

Maybe on older cars, but on newer stuff the ignition is perfectly fine.
