Default which aluminum intake?

Im looking to get an aluminum intake for my car to be safer in case of a backfire and hopefully to pick up a little power. Currently i have a ls6 intake, mods are forged 347, prc stg 2.5 5.3l heads, ms4 cam. I am going to be spraying a 200-250 dry shot. Are there any decent aluminum intakes that will fit under the cowl of a 99 camaro? BBk ssi? weiand? holley?

do you want an aluminum LS style intake or a single plane?

I'm not a huge fan of the aluminum version of the stock intakes. They turn into a heat sink. You could have burst panels installed into your LS6.

Those BBK's suck dick. I've NEVER seen one do very good on my buddies dyno. One guy swaped out his LS6 for the BBK and lost 8-10 hp across the board! More so on top end than anywhere else.

If you go with a single plane I'd go with the GMPP. From what I've seen you lose a little more on bottom with the Victor Jr and you have to twist the ***** off of your engine to really benefit from it. I lost about 12rwhp on bottom end but gained back almost 20 from 4K on up with my GMPP single plane.
