Default 5177 -- 75/100 shot?

Looking to spray a 75-100 shot on a fairly stock 98 a4 that has ran 12.86 @ 109.8...think with a 75 shot I can trap 115? and with a 100 shot 118?

fuel system should be fine with a 75-100 dry correct?

Yeah you should be safe with a stock 98 fuel system. You might be able to trap those speeds. Keep in mind that there are so many variable involved. My best trap speed with the 125 jets was 119, but that was with my old six speed. Auto's dont trap quite as high.

Be sure to do your homework on the setup, and be damn sure you use a window switch. The dry system fron NOS is one of the easiest systems to use. It doesn't have quite the same hit, as NX or TNT, but its a good straightforward system.

I plan on using a window switch set between 3k and 5800-6k...

The car is a daily driver, so I want nitrous to use @ the track...I figure 75 shot is overly safe so I should be alright...and I won't be spraying out of the hole...

No need for a window switch on an A4 with 5177. I shot 100 from 31-3200rpm till 6200 through 1rst to top of third . set your rev limiter at 6400 and voila 200rpm safety window.

The 5177 has a safety N2O shut off switch.

Now I upgraded to #30 injectors/MSD booster pump/26* timming at WOT/11.2 AFR@WOT and I shoot 150 dry, still no window switch but from 3800rpm in first, all the way to the end of the line

Why eek? stock LS1 is safe till 6500, and Ideal shifts are at 6200. Not 5800 like mine was stock.

I still have my old HPP3 and i use it to raise shift point and REV limiter. My SS1 cam pulls al the way past 6300 before it even hints at dropping. I have trap speeds up to 121.25 on NOS 150 shot and I retard 2.5* at WOT for 26*

I used to run 100 NOS shot at 28* through the gears into the low 12's with stock C/H and just bolt ons.

You should race in OD so there is no chance you will overrev if you set your limiter 200rpm above shift points, and if depending on gearing (I have 3:73 and I just get into 4th at the finish) I don't like to spray in 4th so I kill NOS in 3rd at 6100 rpm, 100rpm below my shift point, and 300 below rev limiter.

So a window is necessary for M6 but for A4 it's a waiste of money.MI2BTS

I thought you weren't supposed to spray through shifts?

Why ????????????Not. In A4 up to 150 you're super safe especialy with 5177. Remember it's dry and not wet.All you have to keep an eye on is AFR and Timming. I'm using MAFT so retard at WOT for nitrous. 28* for 100 is fine, for 150, i retard at WOT to 26*, TR6 NGK at .040 gap.
