Default nitrous and intake question

Im not sure what section this would belong in but I have a wet kit that I am ready to have installed, however I have the ls1 intake on my car now and in the future I will be putting a ls6 on it when the right one comes around. So my question is if I have the kit installed, will it be a problem to put a ls6 on? Will the solenoids be in the way or get complicated if I switch them after the fact? I know it is a newb question but I am new to nitrous. Any input would be very helpful.

It's not gonna be a problem at all unless you have a direct port kit. That would entail a little extra work. What kind of kit do you have?

Is it a plate kit? That will be very easy to change.

Does it have a plate that bolts between the throttle body and the intake or just a nozzle and some solenoids and hoses? Either would be quite easy to swap out between intakes. If you have multiple nozzles, like 8, then you probably have a direct port kit, and it would not be as easy to swap. It sounds like you aren't educated on nitrous much. I would recommend reading as much as you can in here and talking to someone like Nitrous Outlet before you do anything with the kit. Just a suggestion. It's best to have a good understanding and be well informed before using a nitrous kit for the first time. Better safe than sory.

Its just extra works to do when swapping the intake but not bad at all. Plus, the LS1/LS6 intake are very similar so I think you wont even have to modify your solenoid brakets and micro switch bracket, if so, only small modification. When I changed from LS6 to FAST 92, I had to relocate some stuff and fabricate a new microswitch bracket. Nothing to rip your hair off.

The only way you will have a problem is if it's a direct port kit. I don't think it is because I never heard of anyone putting a dp kit on a ls1 manifold. Other than that it should be easy as pie.

It has just nozzles with solenoids so it is not a plate kit. I know its not direct port, I have been reading in here a lot about it and all the info has been helping me out a lot. It sounds like it doesn't matter when I do the intake so I will be letting my mechanic install it relatively soon.
