installed wet kit, now p0118 code...wtf?

I just finished my new brand x wet kit and now I'm getting a p0118 code. I have not sprayed yet and I ran all new wires for the install. I didn't splice into anything I don't get it. Any ideas? Car ran fine this morning....

P0118 - Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit High Input

Check the temp sensor in the side of your drivers head and see if its ok.

It visually looks ok and is plugged in

u can test the wiring and computer by turning the ignition on and unplugging the temp sensor. the gauge should show it at its coldest. now find something suitable to jump across the terminals in the plug with and the gauge should peg out on the hot side. if the car does all that fine then its the sensor. if the car doesn't respond like that there is a problem with the wiring or pcm. Usually the sensor tho.
