Default Plug gap for a 200 shot

I have a 408 with a direct port 200 shot on a stand alone with 116 fuel. Running TR6's. If I go to track may go to a BR7. What is a good gap for plugs. I am thinking .35 can't remember and search is no help.

There is no such thing as a tr7. Gap them at .030 or less.

10.5 compression. I pulled plugs and they looked good. No detonation and don't really seem to be to hot on 6's according to the ground strap. Running a little rich though.

Thats why your getting away with it.

When you lean it out its gonna get hot FAST.
Why do guys even bother asking if your just gonna be like "they looked good"

Post a pic, I bet they dont look that good.

A good running 408 needs a tr6 with no nitrous. 200 shot you should start 2 steps colder. Good luck, hope you dont melt it before you figure it out.

I tried to get a pic smartass. They don't turn out good. The pocelain is glowing white in them or to dark to tell anything. Crappy camera or crappy operator I reckon. All this thread was asking for was the recommended gap not for people to be a wise ***. And yes hopefully I will get it figured out.

From the sound of it this is your 1st 408 and 1st 200 shot.
I'm just trying to give you some helpful advice from someone who has a few pistons for ashtrays.

Its the wrong plug no matter how it looks.

BTW .. what did it run?

LOL. It will not live on the 6 if the a/f is correct. it needs probably an 8-9. How much timming did you pull? whats your base?

Thank You. Set gaps to .30. When I go to the track i will put either 7's or 8's in it as I said at first of this thread. Don't plan on spraying on the street, can't hook on street tires. I pull 8 degrees out on spray. 24 total in it and 18 on spray. A/F on a wideband and on Dyno runs 12-12.5 at either wot and on spray.

24-18 is not 8..... but 18 is pretty good and 12.5 is a good starting point. Ill think you willl get to 20 on the timming and closer to 12.5-12.7 when its perfect. seems like what the nitrous ls1's want. BTW we run a ngk10 on the 200 and 11 on more juice on our 396 with 116 gas.....

Sorry my bad 26 total degrees. 8 taken out. it was on a dynojet. This is a full weight street driven 02 RCSB truck. I only sprayed it one time on track and 3 on the dyno. Fairly new to nitrous as you can tell. LOL. It got 12.6 @ 107 or 108 on motor with a 1.8 60'. I didn't get into the spray til about 100' to 150' out and got 12.3 @ 116. I don't plan on spraying it anymore till I get the suspension figured out. Can't come off the line hard. it bottoms out and rebounds and breaks loose I think and from what some of my friends were seeing. Still got a ways to go but slowly getting it figured out.
