Dribble feed tiny dry shots??
I wonder if I can set up a dry shot with a progresive controler, to give out tiny hits regularly?
I'm talking about a 20-30 hp shot operating only at WOT.
I'm cautious as I really don't want to have to spend out big time replacing the tranny or 10 bolt. Although I'd be happy to spend out doing the n2o setup correctly.
I realise I probably won't even feel the hit, but knowing there's another 20 -30 hp at my fingers would be nice.
Would I be pushing my luck running even a small shot like this on my stock trans with my planned mods ? (In sig)
If the n2o route is doable, I might give the gears and pulley a miss, what do you think?
It's a shame a new trans and 12 bolt would be mega money for me to swap in.
Thanks for the advise
And that was a cat-back only formula doing a best of 109.2 in the 1/4.
They're hit or miss....Usually miss...

Agreed, it may last with a big shot, but I also hear they can break pretty easy too, and I could really do without having to dump 2-2.5k
into my tranny. The trans cooler looks easyish to install, so I would get one of those. I hoped my luck would hold out if I keep the shot small and gentle, instead of a sudden shock with a bigger hit.
That's why I'm shying away from a TC too, as bets are it would kill the trans.
Just hoping a drip fed n2o shot would be gentle enough to keep my trans alive.
Can a n2o system be set up to progresively feed smaller 20-30hp dry shots??
p.s I like the idea of spraying little and often all day, instead of a few bigger hits

That said, I wouldn't even bother with a 20-30 shot. Too much time effort and money for the same hp jump a set of LT's would give

Now it's like fighting temptations.........
I would have to agree with this right here. I know you only want 20-30 RWHP and with those levels you would be better off getting something like an LS6 Cam and a Tune. You could easily reach those numbers with those two mods and you wouldn't need to keep filling the a nitrous tank. Plus, the cam and tune would probably run you about the same amount of money as the N2O system.
I know these engine can take a good amout of spray, but it seems other things break easier.
I can't just swap the cam, as I'd need a stall first, and that seems even more likely to break my tranny than the progresive n2o.
Yes LT would be more worth while, and I'm planning to add them first
. I'm just looking for other ways add hp if I want it. FI = too much $$$ + likely to break trans
H/C/TC = too complicated to install and likely to break trans
Bolt ons= already done or planning to do
Plus, if I want to spray bigger shots, the n2o is already set up....
I'll just have to be prepare to dump $$$ into my trans if it breaks
Great, so I guess the smaller shots are possable.
Thanks for the all the input...
