Default Help choosing jets to lean out

Went to the dyno last week for the first time. THe car put down 434 rwhp n/a. Then we opened the bottle and sprayed a 100 shot and put down 530.
Not to bad on the hp # but the air/fuel was 10.0 to 1. The jets were a 51
n2o and 31 fuel. So after seeing the air/fuel we changed the n2o jet to a 55 that is suggested for the 125 shot. That run it wass still rich at 11.0 to 1. Seeing that it was still rich we put the 63 n2o jet in. It help a little bit but it is still 11.5 to 1 and put down 551 rwhp. We didn't change the fuel jet cause I had only brought the jet for the 100, 125, 150 shots and the 31 jet was the smallest we had.

My questions are should I change the fuel or n2o jet at the NOS plate? And looking at the numbers the car only picked up 20 rwhp going to 150 shot n2o jet form the 100 shot, is that normal?

You need to learn to read the plugs. Right now you are just guessing that you need to pull timing, if you pull the plugs and read them you will know what it wants. At least you will have a little better idea anyway.

Bingo !

Leave it rich on the dyno it will lean out and also run hotter timing wise at the track.

Think about the difference in load and the amount of time you are spraying.
3 second pull vs. a 10 second run.

Get those tr6's out.

What should I look for on the plugs? What way should I go if the plugs say one thing or the other. From reading some treadsI do Know that if the tip has damage to it has to much time and to pull more timing.

I wouldnt trust the A/F on the nitrous as far as I can throw them. The plugs will tell you what the motor wants. Here is a article for reading plugs its basic but might help.

went to the track and ran on motor and the car isn't running good. Time to find some tr7 and run them.
